Commencing May 1, 2026, Nominations may be filed in the office of the Clerk during regular business hours Monday to Friday 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., until Thursday August 20 and on Friday August 21, 2026 (Nomination Day) from 9:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m.
Nominations must be completed on the prescribed forms (Nomination Paper – Form 1, Endorsement of Nomination – Form 2 and the Declaration of Qualifications), signed by the candidate and accompanied by the nomination filing fee of $200 for Mayor and $100 for all other offices (Councillor, County Councillor, School Board Trustee). The filing fee is payable by cash, debit, cheque, or money order payable to the Township of Wellington North.
Candidates must submit 25 signatures endorsing their nomination. Anyone providing an endorsement signature is required to sign a declaration that they are eligible to vote in the municipality.
Candidates are prohibited from incurring expenses, or receiving contributions until nomination papers have been filed.

Township Councillor – Ward 1: 1 to be elected
Township Councillor – Ward2: 1 to be elected
Township Councillor – Ward 3: 1 to be elected

1 to be elected (Nomination Forms to be filed with the Clerk, Township of Wellington North)
Wellington County Councillor – Ward 4

Wellington County Councillor – Ward 5
1 to be elected (Nomination Forms to be filed wiht the Clerk, Township of Centre Wellington)
Wellington County Councillor – Ward 6
1 to be elected (Nomination Forms to be filed with the Clerk, Township of Centre Wellington)
Wellington Catholic District School Board (English Separate):
1 to be elected from the Township of Centre Wellington, the Town of Minto, the Township of Mapleton and the Township of Wellington North Nomination forms to be filed with the Clerk, Township of Centre Wellington
Upper Grand District School Board (English Public): 1 to be elected from the Townships of Wellington North, Minto and Mapleton. Nomination forms to be filed with the Clerk, Township of Wellington North
Conseil Scolaire Viamonde (French Public): 1 to be elected from the Regional Municipality of Waterloo, Counties of Middlesex, Wellington, Perth & Huron Nomination forms to be filed with the Clerk, City of London
