Cultural Events Funding

The Wellington North Cultural Roundtable values the important role that not-for-profit organizations and community groups play in delivering events and projects in our community.  

The Cultural Events Funding and Sponsorship initiative provides funding aimed at enabling these groups and organizations to incorporate culturally significant elements to their existing events, programs, and projects. 

For 2026, a total of $2,000 has been budgeted for events, programs and projects. The deadline to submit an application to the Cultural Events Funding and Sponsorship fund is Sunday, May 31, 2026 at 5:00 p.m.

The Cultural Roundtable will review applications at its June meeting, with each application being judged based on criteria that aligns with the mandate of the fund. The Cultural Roundtable will make recommendations on which applications to support, as well as the amount, for Council approval. The Cultural Roundtable may recommend that an application be supported partially.

Not-for-profit community organizations may apply for funding to deliver events and projects in the Township of Wellington North. In order to be eligible for funding:

  •  Events and projects must be covered by liability insurance.
  •  Organizations seeking retrospective funding for events or projects that have already started or have been completed will not receive funding.
  • Events and projects must be not-for-profit.
  • Recognition as a sponsor for the project by including the Cultural Roundtable logo on all associated marketing materials.
