Recreation Master Plan - 2027 Update
About the Project
The Township of Wellington North is updating its 2018 Recreation Master Plan (RMP).
The updated plan will ensure that programs and services continue to support community needs and respond to changing demographic and growth factors. The RMP is being prepared at the same time as the Facilities Master Plan, which will provide Wellington North with a plan for public infrastructure and space. These plans will maintain a long-term vision, but will focus on key actions over the next ten years.
Specifically, the RMP will provide direction on:
- The types of recreation programs and services that the community is interested in.
- Ways that the Township, volunteers, and others can work in partnership to address these needs and expand participation.
- Potential improvements to enhance the capacity of and community access to recreation facilities and parks.
- Other resources and supports needed to deliver on the vision for recreation services in Wellington North.
The Township has retained Monteith Brown Planning Consultants to assist with this project.

Community Survey
We want to hear from you!
Click here to complete our online survey which will be open until November 22, 2026. This survey will take approximately 10 to 15 minutes to complete. Alternatively, pick up a hard copy at the Recreation, Community and Economic Development Office (upper level of the Mount Forest and District Sports Complex, 850 Princess Street, Mount Forest).
Public Input Sessions
Want to know more about the Recreation Master Plan?
Drop-in anytime to one of our public input sessions to learn more and provide your thoughts. There will be no presentation, but the consulting team will be on hand to gather your ideas.
