• 🚗 Winter Overnight Parking

Overnight parking  on Township roadways and in municipal parking lots is not permitted from November 1 to March 31.
This helps ensure snow removal operations can be completed safely and efficiently.

  • Vehicles parked in a way that obstructs snow removal may be ticketed or removed at the owner’s expense.
  • The Township is not responsible for damage to vehicles caused by snow removal or removal operations
• ♻️ Winter Recycling Bin Placement

With this being our first winter season since the introduction of the new recycling bins in Wellington North, we know there may be a bit of an adjustment as we head into the snowy months.

A few small adjustments to where bins are placed can make a big difference when it comes to snow clearing.

♻️ When putting your recycling bins out for collection, please keep the following in mind:

  • Place bins in a location that allows our Roads Department to safely clear sidewalks and maintain the downtown core.
  • Image

Keep sidewalks and pathways as clear as possible for pedestrians and snow-clearing equipment.

  • Remove bins promptly after collection to help keep these areas clear.

We understand this is a learning process for everyone, and we appreciate the community’s understanding as we work together to keep our downtown areas safe, accessible and ready for winter.

Thank you for your patience and cooperation! ❄️

• 🌨️Winter Control Program

The Township of Wellington North works to keep roads and sidewalks safe and accessible throughout the winter season. Our Roads crews monitor and respond to changing weather conditions, providing snow removal and applying salt and sand as needed to help maintain safe travel for residents.

🚜 Road & Sidewalk Snow Removal

  • Crews work to clear roads during snow, sleet and freezing rain.
  • Salt and sand are applied as needed to improve road conditions.
  • Roads are prioritized to support safe travel and morning commutes.
  • Sidewalk clearing may be delayed during heavy snowfall or extreme weather until conditions improve and it is safe for crews to resume work.

  🚧Unassumed Roads
Unassumed roads are not maintained by the Township for snow removal.
Snow removal on unassumed roads is the responsibility of the developer.
