NOTICE OF THE PASSING OF DEVELOPMENT CHARGES BY-LAW FOR THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWNSHIP OF WELLINGTON NORTH
TAKE NOTICE that the Council of the Corporation of the Township of Wellington North passed By-law 059-2025 (the “By-law”) on the 22nd day of September, 2025 under subsection 2(1) of the Development Charges Act, 1997, S.O. 1997 c.27 (the “Act”), being a by-law to amend Development Charges By-law 027-22;
AND TAKE NOTICE that any person or organization may appeal the By-law to the Local Planning Appeal Tribunal (LPAT) as stipulated under Section 14 of the Act, in respect of the By-law, by filing with the Clerk of the Township of Wellington North on or before the 1st day of November, 2025 a notice of appeal setting out the objection to the by-law and the reasons supporting the objection. (NOTE: If the final appeal date falls on a Saturday or Sunday, the appeal date will extend to the first Monday at 4:30 p.m., following the last appeal day.)
By-law 059-2025 incorporates into the Township’s Development Charges By-law 027-2022 recent legislative amendments to the Development Charge Act, 1997. By-law 059-2025 does not change the Township’s current development charges rates.
