The Township of Wellington North, in collaboration with the Wellington North Cultural Roundtable, is pleased to announce the launch of a redesigned Volunteer page on its website.
The updated page is designed as a one-stop resource for residents to learn about local community groups and organizations, and to explore volunteer opportunities across Wellington North.
New features include:
- Volunteer Match: Residents interested in volunteering can complete a short survey. Responses will be shared with local organizations to help connect individuals with suitable opportunities.
- Submit a Volunteer Opportunity: Community groups can post open volunteer positions – similar to a job listing – which will be featured on the Volunteer Positions page.
- Volunteer Positions in the Community: A centralized “job bank” showcasing current volunteer opportunities.
- Volunteer with a Township Committee: Individuals can complete a short form to receive notifications about future committee openings and opportunities to get involved with the Township.
- Groups, Clubs and Organizations: A directory of local organizations, including contact information.
- Volunteer Recognition: Residents can recommend individuals for Council to consider nominating for the Ontario Volunteer Service Awards.
All services on the Volunteer page are free for community groups, organizations, and volunteers within the Township of Wellington North.
