Township of Wellington North Celebrates Four Winning Artists in All Are Welcome Here Contest
WELLINGTON NORTH – The Township of Wellington North is pleased to announce four winning artists from the All Are Welcome Here student art contest. After reviewing the submissions, the Township was inspired by the creativity, meaning, and shared values reflected across multiple entries and made the decision to recognize four artists rather than select a single winner.
Each of the winning submissions expressed a common theme of inclusion, kindness, and community, while celebrating diversity, creativity, and the importance of creating welcoming spaces for all. Together, these messages strongly reflected the spirit of Wellington North.
As a result, the Township is working collaboratively with all four winning artists to develop a unified decal design that brings their ideas together under a shared theme:
All are welcome here, many hands, many differences, one community: coming together with kindness, belonging, and room for everyone to learn, connect, and play.
This combined design will draw from elements of each winning entry, symbolizing collaboration, shared values, and the belief that Wellington North is a community where everyone belongs.
The All Are Welcome Here contest encouraged artists to express what inclusion and belonging mean to them and how those values can be visually represented in public spaces. The Township thanks all participants for their thoughtful submissions and for helping to share a message of acceptance and community pride.
The Township looks forward to sharing the combined design concept, inspired by the artwork and ideas of Pyper MacDonald (age 12), Blayke Ward (age 11), Vanna Saunders (age 11), and Keira Potter (age 10), at a future Council meeting for consideration and approval.
