Description
You will be part of a small board which represents District 7 of OHA.
The Societies and Garden Clubs represented are: Arthur, Elora & Salem, Erin, Fergus, Grand Valley, Guelph, Guelph Township, Harriston, Hillsburgh, Moorefield, Mount Forest, Orangeville and Shelburne.
The position requires attendance of approximately 4 evening Zoom board meetings, and live attendance at 2 Saturday district meetings, where you will help with registration, organization, door prizes, etc.
You will also attend two evening online Information meetings. Any skills that you bring to the table in the form of financial management, computer skills, education, administration, will be utilized as much as possible.
The position usually does not last longer than five years.
Our constitution will allow us to bring on THREE new board members at this time.
Qualifications
Must be a member of at least one Horticultural Society or Garden Club of OHA, in District 7 as listed above.
An interest or knowledge of horticulture is an advantage but not absolutely required.
